REDISCOVERING A REBEL VOICE

Some six decades after its debut, Trey Records (“3 Trey”) and Gregmark Music are re-introducing Barbara Dane’s iconic original recording of ‘I’m On My Way’. Prominently featured in the documentary The 9 Lives of Barbara Dane by Protesta Productions, this song marks a defining moment in Dane’s legacy of artistry and activism, rooted in blues and gospel traditions. 

Accompanying this track is the B-side, ‘Go ‘Way from My Window’, which offers a further glimpse into her early

sound, rounding out this classic release.
